MANSORY for the Range Rover Sport SV — the L461 performance flagship on BMW V8 power

The Range Rover Sport SV — introduced 2024 as the performance flagship of the L461 Sport line — is the first Range Rover Sport SVR-successor built on the MLA-Flex platform and the first Sport SV to use a BMW-sourced V8. JLR moved away from the Jaguar-sourced 5.0 supercharged V8 that powered the outgoing L494 Sport SVR and adopted the 4.4-litre twin-turbo N63/S63-family V8 from BMW's M-division — the same engine family that powers the BMW M5 Competition. In the Sport SV application it produces 635 hp / 800 Nm and drops the 0–100 km/h time to 3.8 seconds. The Sport SV also debuts JLR's new 6D Dynamics suspension — an active-roll system that replaces the anti-roll bar with hydraulically interconnected dampers, making the Sport SV the most chassis-advanced Range Rover Sport ever built. The Mansory carbon programme is calibrated to that chassis.

Kit content — body conversion zones

Front redesign:

  • Carbon-fibre front spoiler — increases front aerodynamic load and stabilises the front axle at the Sport SV's 280 km/h top speed
  • Engine bonnet application — carbon overlay on the factory bonnet panel with integrated Mansory bonnet vent; does not replace the bonnet outer skin (preserves factory pedestrian-impact compliance)
  • Front grille frame in carbon trim
  • Carbon air-curtain inlet inserts on the front bumper lower corners

Side:

  • Wide-body fender extensions (front and rear arches)
  • Carbon door-edge extensions that carry the widened bodyline across the door skin
  • Carbon side skirts with downforce-optimised flow blades
  • Mirror caps with carbon weave and integrated factory camera-view apertures

Rear:

  • Carbon rear diffuser with quad-exhaust cutouts sized to the Sport SV's factory titanium exhaust tips
  • Rear-bumper air-outtake splitter in carbon
  • Roof spoiler — carbon lip at the roof trailing edge
  • Boot-lid spoiler lip

Material: dry carbon on the bonnet application, roof spoiler, boot-lid spoiler and fender extensions; PU-RIM with visible carbon on the front spoiler, rear diffuser and door-edge extensions. Install runs five to six shop days including paint-match on PU-RIM panels. The wide-body fender extensions are structural; the body-shell work carries a two-shop-day paint-blend window.

The BMW V8 and 6D Dynamics — what the kit does not disturb

The Sport SV's 4.4-litre twin-turbo V8 is the N63-derived variant used across BMW's M-performance line. JLR calibrates it for 635 hp / 800 Nm with a bespoke exhaust voicing. The Mansory kit is bodywork only — no calibration change to the engine, no modification to the exhaust system, and no interaction with the 6D Dynamics suspension. The front-bumper lower aperture preserves the factory V8 cooling intake unchanged; the rear-diffuser quad-exhaust cutouts are dimensioned precisely to the factory tip diameter and leave the factory back-pressure map unchanged.

The 6D Dynamics system requires three specific design clearances: the hydraulic damper ports at the front lower control arms, the cross-car hydraulic lines that run under the floor pan, and the active-roll differential pressure sensor at the rear sub-frame. None of these are affected by the Mansory kit, which is a skin-and-panel conversion that does not touch sub-frame or control-arm geometry. The Sport SV's factory carbon-ceramic brake option (420 mm front / 395 mm rear) is preserved.

Wheels — 23" forged or 24" carbon-fibre forged

Factory Sport SV ships on 23" wheels as standard. The Mansory offering covers 23" forged and 24" forged, with a 24" carbon-fibre-wheel upgrade as a premium line item. The carbon-fibre wheel is lighter than the forged aluminium equivalent and reduces unsprung mass at the rear axle — this interacts favourably with the 6D Dynamics suspension because the lighter wheel improves axle response to active-roll hydraulic input. The carbon-fibre wheel is the most-premium wheel in the Hodoor forged-wheel stack and ships with a separate tyre-fitment spec. Full wheel range at Hodoor forged wheels.

Geography — the full-fat-ICE holdout map

The Sport SV's geographic order book is shaped by one specific driver: it is one of the last true high-output ICE V8 SUVs launched into production as the luxury-SUV segment broadly moves to PHEV and BEV. Alongside the new Lamborghini Urus, the Bentley Bentayga and the Aston Martin DBX707, the Sport SV represents the closing window for the 600+ hp non-electrified SUV class. The Mansory order book weights heavily toward markets where the ICE-V8 persistence is a specific buyer preference:

US national-volume markets. The Sport SV has landed into the US as a direct flagship successor to the outgoing L494 Sport SVR, and the Mansory Sport SV order book in the US spans coastal metros (Miami, Palm Beach, LA, NYC) and inland luxury markets (Dallas, Houston, Nashville, Aspen). Unlike most other Mansory donors, the Sport SV's US geography is not coastal-concentrated — the car sells into inland metros at comparable rates.

Gulf national-volume markets. UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait and Oman — Range Rover flagship-SUV demand is structurally very deep in these markets, and the Sport SV is receiving strong allocation. Mansory commissions from the Gulf cluster tend toward full-spec kit with the 24" carbon-fibre wheel and the Mansory sport-exhaust on the BMW V8.

UK and Continental Europe. The UK home market carries a steady Sport SV Mansory volume concentrated in London and the Home Counties. Switzerland, Austria, the Netherlands and Germany sit as the Continental cluster — the Sport SV is positioned to buyers who explicitly prefer the ICE V8 over the forthcoming Range Rover Electric on the same MLA-Flex platform. Russia / CIS orders route through the Tsar programme.

Sister Mansory builds on the MLA-Flex platform

The Sport SV shares the MLA-Flex platform with the Range Rover L460 (the flagship saloon), though the two carry different Mansory parts because the Sport SV is on the L461 wheelbase and the L460 carries SWB and LWB flagship variants. The outgoing L494 Sport SVR (Jaguar-sourced supercharged V8) remains in the Mansory catalogue for the prior-generation donor. Households that run a Mansory L460 Range Rover alongside a Sport SV commission the two to matched paint and weave spec at the most common rate in the Mansory catalogue.

Ordering & lead time

Full Sport SV kit: five to six weeks from the workshop. 23" forged wheel set: four weeks. 24" forged wheel set: five weeks. 24" carbon-fibre forged wheel set (premium line item): eight weeks. Mansory sport-exhaust (BMW V8): four weeks — with the note that the Sport SV's factory titanium exhaust is already high-spec, and the Mansory exhaust is typically commissioned only by owners who want a voicing change rather than a performance change. Email [email protected] or WhatsApp +44 7488 818747 with your VIN, the preferred material tier on the PU-RIM panels (standard or full-dry-carbon upgrade), the wheel spec (23" forged / 24" forged / 24" carbon-fibre), and the OEM paint code.

FAQ

Does the kit fit the outgoing L494 Sport SVR donor as well as the new L461 Sport SV?
No. The two Range Rover Sport generations are on different platforms (L494 on the older D7u architecture, L461 on MLA-Flex) and carry different body shells. The kit on this page is L461-Sport-SV-specific. For L494 Sport SVR commissions see the L494 Sport SVR Mansory page.

Will the wide-body fender extension interfere with the 6D Dynamics suspension's active-roll travel?
No. The extension is dimensioned to clear the factory arch envelope at full 6D Dynamics compression and at full active-roll articulation. The hydraulic damper ports at the lower control arms are not overlapped by any Mansory panel.

Does the carbon-fibre 24" wheel fit under the factory arch without extension?
The 24" carbon-fibre wheel is dimensioned for use with the Mansory wide-body fender extension. Fitting the 24" without the extension is not supported — the factory arch clearance does not accommodate the 24" tyre fitment at full compression.

Is the Sport SV's factory V8 warranty affected by the kit?
The body conversion is bodywork-only. Factory JLR powertrain warranty remains intact. The Mansory exhaust — where commissioned — does require re-certification in certain EU markets; the workshop supplies certification paperwork.

Will the kit affect the Sport SV's factory off-road capability or approach/departure angles?
The front spoiler lowers the front approach angle by approximately one degree. The rear diffuser does not alter the rear departure angle. The Sport SV's factory air-suspension raise mode can be specified by the owner before off-road use. The wide-body fender extension does not alter arch articulation for suspension travel but adds approximately 35 mm to vehicle width per side.

Is a Mansory body kit for the Range Rover Electric on the same MLA-Flex platform planned?
The Range Rover Electric is in development at JLR; Mansory has not announced a kit for the electric variant. The Sport SV kit on this page is ICE-specific and does not fit the electric platform's cooling and charging requirements.
